Approx. 30–50 guests depending on layout.

Adapt the canopy around the space you're working with.
Designed as a simple two-person setup.
Lay the canvas out, position poles and anchors, raise progressively and tension evenly.
For a first setup, take your time to understand the layout, ground conditions and how the canopy tensions before using it with guests.
Built for outdoor living — not permanent roofing.
Spring through summer.
Best treated as seasonal temporary cover, roughly April to September, with regular inspection and weather monitoring.
Need year-round cover?
Choose a different material or structure designed for longer-term or all-year installation.
Canvas needs respect for the weather.
The canopy is intended as a recreational temporary outdoor structure. It is best used in settled and low-wind conditions with appropriate ground anchoring, tension and regular weather monitoring.
Do not use the canopy in high winds or severe weather. If conditions deteriorate, take the canopy down rather than attempting to keep temporary canvas erected.
When pitching into soft or loose soil, upgrade to more substantial pegs or ground anchors suitable for the conditions.
Where ground conditions require additional security, use additional opposing guy ropes from the corner poles rather than relying on a single guy line.
For added stability, including in light winds, we recommend securing the central pole with the Bell Tent Village central-pole fixing plate, available separately.

How many people fit underneath?
As a general guide, the 6×6 canopy can work for approximately 30–50 people depending on whether guests are seated, standing or using tables and furniture.
How many people are needed to put it up?
We recommend two people for installation. Once you are familiar with your chosen configuration, the canopy is straightforward to lay out, raise and tension.
How quickly can it be put up?
It is intended as a relatively quick temporary structure. Exact setup time depends on the installation layout, fixing points, ground conditions and the experience of the installers.
Can it attach to buildings or trees?
Yes, where suitable and secure structural fixing points are available. Any building, tree or anchor point used must be capable of safely handling the tension placed on it.
Can the canopy be freestanding?
Yes. It can be installed as a freestanding canopy using suitable poles, ropes and secure ground anchoring.
Can it be used in high winds?
No. This is a temporary recreational canvas structure and should not be used in high winds or severe weather. Monitor weather forecasts while the canopy is erected and take it down if conditions become unsuitable.
What should I do if the ground is soft or loose?
Soft or loose ground may not provide sufficient holding strength for standard pegs. Upgrade to longer, heavier or otherwise suitable ground anchors for the site conditions.
Where extra stability is required, we also recommend adding additional opposing guy ropes from the corner poles rather than relying on a single guy line.
Should the corner poles have extra guy ropes?
In softer ground, exposed positions or where additional security is required, doubling up the corner pole guy ropes can help spread the load and provide additional stability.
Guy lines should be arranged in suitable opposing directions and anchored appropriately for the site.
How should the central pole be secured?
We recommend securing the central pole with a suitable fixing system. For additional stability, including in light-wind conditions, the Bell Tent Village central-pole fixing plate can be purchased separately.
Is the canopy waterproof?
The cotton canvas is treated for water resistance, mould resistance and UV resistance. Correct pitching and sufficient tension are important to encourage water to run off the fabric.
Can I leave it up all summer?
The canopy can be used as seasonal temporary cover, subject to suitable site conditions, secure installation, maintenance and regular weather monitoring.
For seasonal use we would generally consider approximately April through September as the main outdoor period.
Should I leave it up over winter?
We recommend taking the cotton canvas canopy down outside the main season rather than treating it as permanent winter roofing. Removing it during harsher conditions should also help prolong the useful life of the canvas.
What if I need year-round cover?
Contact Bell Tent Village before purchasing. A different fabric or structure designed for longer-term installation may be more appropriate if the shelter needs to remain erected throughout winter or all year.
Is this a commercial permanent structure?
No. The standard canvas canopy is sold as a temporary recreational outdoor shelter and should not be treated as a permanent building, permanent roof or storm-rated structure.
Who is responsible for safe installation and use?
The owner and user are responsible for choosing a suitable location, assessing ground and weather conditions, using appropriate anchors and fixing points, maintaining correct tension and taking the canopy down when conditions are unsuitable.
Bell Tent Village cannot control the installation site, weather conditions or the way the product is erected and used. Always use the product responsibly and follow the supplied installation and safety guidance.
Can I order custom sizes or multiple canopies?
Yes. For custom dimensions, multiple units, hospitality installations or larger outdoor projects, use the enquiry form below and tell us what you are trying to create.
This canopy is a temporary recreational outdoor product. It is not designed for high winds, extreme weather, permanent installation or use as a structural building. Safe installation, suitable anchoring, site assessment and weather monitoring are essential at all times.
